Owning a van has long been a dream of mine. Camping with family from a young age, living a wilder life has always been in my blood. But when it became apparent that camping in autumn was no fun for Monty or I I started to wonder how I could make owning a van a reality. Having got sober earlier in the year I had saved some money and made my dream a reality - I bought a Vauxhall Vivaro and got to work converting her. I did the conversion in two weeks on a budget of £1.5k over Christmas where I had access to some space to build. Fast forward 2 years and a refit under my belt I’ve learned a lot about what (and what not) to do with a van conversion. I’ve also completed numerous road trips and short breaks and I wouldn't have my life any other way.
